Mike and Carrie Meisenheimer - May 2017
As the school year comes to an end, we take time with our staff for training, evaluations, and reflections from the past year before looking ahead to the summer and fall semester. It is a fun time to celebrate with our staff what God has done in our lives and in the lives of our students. As a part of this, we organized and hosted a unique celebration for our long time friends and fellow staffers Ben and Kaye Creasman. Ben has served as the Regional Director of Campus Outreach Greenville for the last 5 years and now Mike and Daniel Hill are taking his place as co-directors in that role. I attended Presbyterian College with Ben and Kaye back in 1999 and then along with Mike we were all good friends as single and married staff with CO. We have served alongside each other for close to 15 years now (minus my 4 years with CRU military!). They have been incredibly sweet friends on our journey as we have learned so much from them! We are thankful for the way they have led this ministry the last few years and we will miss them greatly.
Ethnic Diversity Summit
Mike also had the opportunity to attend Campus Outreach's Ethnic Diversity Summit in Memphis earlier this month with over 130 other Campus Outreach staff. It was encouraging to see how God has been growing this area of our ministry within Campus Outreach regions all over the US. We are always learning how to uniquely reach, minister to, think for, and value students from different ethnic backgrounds and we are extremely thankful for how this growing diversity within our campus movements has enriched our Christian experience.
Overall, you can continue to pray for us as we transition into this new role directing the whole Greenville region ministry. We have enjoyed the opportunities so far but also feel the weight of responsibility to lead and shepherd and train all of our staff and students. We are definitely learning the necessity as well as the freedom of needing God to do the work that we can't do in our lives and others' lives.

P.S. And a reminder: please pray for us in this next week as we pack, clean, and prepare for living in Myrtle Beach for the month of June with a 100 plus college students and staff from our region! We are excited and always love this month but it's especially a lot more work this year as we prep our house to go on the market as we leave and prepare for our move to Clemson in July. We leave Memorial Day May 29 to head to the Leadership Project and our house will go on the market June 1 in Greenville. Pray also for some of the logistics to be finalized well with the project - Mike is in charge of all of that this year and there are still some moving pieces where we are trusting God to work and open doors! Thank you!
