Mike and Carrie Meisenheimer - Dec 28, 2017

Specific requests for Raleigh week!

Hey friends,
Our family arrived in Raleigh yesterday afternoon where everyone is working hard to prepare for the 1300 plus students and staff coming in today for our New Year’s Conference! We realized that this is Mike’s 19th conference in a row—a pretty impressive streak! Although it is so much of the same every year, it is also so different: new cities, new faces, new students, and new staff to be trained, equipped, and reminded of God’s deep love for them and His greater purpose for their lives. I’ve already had many tearful moments as I reflect on God’s faithfulness to His people at this conference and think of all the students who have been impacted through these short few days over MANY, many years! We still feel so honored to be here 19 years after our freshmen year in college, and we still get so excited to be a part of it all! As we send out this email, buses are loading up in SC with our 160 Greenville region students. Pray that God would use this conference as a catalyst on our campuses for community and growth in Jesus! Would you specifically pray for students we’re connected to (Melissa, Lynsie, Taylor, Abby, Jantzen, Quan, and Lawrence) and that God would use this conference mightily in their lives?

Would you also please pray for our family specifically these next few days? We’ve had a full month of sickness in the Meisenheimer household and my Chronic Fatigue has also been a lot worse this month (it usually flares up more in the winter months). That on top of the stomach bug right before Christmas honestly put me under for almost a whole week. There is a lot of walking here this year along with a packed schedule of early mornings and late nights. Our kids are bouncing off the hotel walls with excitement and energy already! Last night we overheard Copeland and Anna Cile’s conversation going to bed about where they were going to college! They love this environment and all their college student “best friends.” All that to say, God has already shown Himself faithful to even get us here but will you pray with me for supernatural physical, emotional, and mental strength for our Meisenheimer 5 here? We need the Holy Spirit to work in and through us in our attitudes, in providing sleep and rest for us in our hotel room, in giving grace to each other, and that we also might experience the conference for ourselves as we work.

We are so grateful for your investment in us so that we might invest in others. God is working! Be encouraged! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
